Bring it on, 2011 -- WT Scott is back!

Hey hey, you line-jumpin', book-readin', stone-skippin', fly-fishin', life-lovin' readers -- I'm back! This is yours truly, World Traveler Jess Scott, loggin' on from the land of far far away (otherwise known as Lewisburg, PA) to tell YOU (yes, you) that...

I'm back! Oh, wait, you already know that, but what you don't know is why. Why has WT Jess Scott come out of hidin', come back to the world of bloggin' (refusing to use "g's" at that), when we know she only blogs when she's about to start travelin' again. Wait, does this mean...?!?!

Hell yeah, folks, it does mean precisely that which you were thinkin' -- I'm hittin' the road again! 2011 has brought about some great things, primarily in terms of the amount of money I can make while working 3+ jobs at once, and I'm ready to launch into my next set of adventures. In a nutshell, on cinco de mayo I'm taking off for at least 11 months -- heading to New Zealand, Australia, Europe (the current itinerary including the Netherlands, Sweden, Estonia, and Istanbul), and then back to Malawi (which many of you will remember my gushing about when I was there last summer). In the words of one of my bartending customers -- all locations that are obviously right next to eachother on a map...

This is a new set of travels, with new outlooks and outcomes -- so I'm doing a little jet-setting while I have the time, flexibility, and energy to do so. It so happens that I'm lucky enough to have friends scattered across the globe right now -- down under, up over, and in between -- and it so happens that I'm beyond satisfied with the amount of time I've spent (once again) in small-town USA -- and finally it so happens that I have some sort of rough 2 year plan that encompasses another round of world exploration. So off I go -- the first three stops for fun, and the fourth (Malawi) for fun AND to work for 9 months at an eco-backpackers camp I stayed at last year, called The Mushroom Farm. Start planning your visits now -- I'll be runnin' the place from August through April of next year, and have a tent spot just for you!

So, welcome back -- jump on board -- come along for the ride! It's bound to be crazy, and different from anything I've ever done before -- which means I'll have lots to share with you.

Until next time, which will be soon...

Jess
